Topic: LLG Success Story

This retard friend of mine has recently ventured into LLG. He's a longtime affilaite that has consistently put up big numbers in the CPA game. He signed a local guy to a flat rate monthly deal just to get his feet wet. He got a lead form based landing page designed, then ran some PPC traffic to it...

(12:06:15 PM)topsecretloser 63 leads since i set up this ppc campaign for scuba diving
(12:06:29 PM) topsecretloser 70ish% ctr
(8:35:05 PM) Kyle Irwin lololol.
(8:35:09 PM) Kyle Irwin holy dick.
(8:35:17 PM) Kyle Irwin i see a future career in LLG.
(8:35:49 PM) Kyle Irwin CR you mean, right.... not ctr?
(8:35:56 PM) topsecretloser like
(8:35:58 PM) Kyle Irwin 70% conversion rate on the LP.
(8:36:02 PM) topsecretloser ya
(8:36:03 PM) topsecretloser whatever
(8:36:12 PM) Kyle Irwin dude, that is ill.
(8:36:13 PM) topsecretloser SAME SHIT
(8:36:17 PM) Kyle Irwin what syour spend like?
(8:36:17 PM) topsecretloser its the lp
(8:36:22 PM) topsecretloser i have to scale it back
(8:36:23 PM) topsecretloser 20 bucks
(8:36:47 PM) Kyle Irwin can i post this convo on the localleadplan.com forum?
(8:36:59 PM) topsecretloser hell no
(8:37:12 PM) Kyle Irwin ok, i'll post it anyways.

So the guy is a total tech-tard... can't even set up his own LP, no idea how to handle forms, doesn't know the difference between conversion rate and click through rate... yet he's able to pull this out. His bids are dirt cheap, and his doing geo targeting + "**cityname** keyword" on his targeting... and still getting too much volume for the client to handle.

EDIT: scuba diving isn't his actual niche.

well, you know the problem isn't your bid price...

Re: LLG Success Story

Nice Kyle.  Sounds like he lucked into a good niche.  It happens.
